Hi, hi, hi!
Welcoming March with a lot of smiles, hihi :E
How was ur last week of February?
Mine is like a 'rush hour' movie. wkwkwk.
Rush here and there to accompany my colleague retrieved all the discounts she managed to get due to her birthdate, which is on 28th February. Bought some clothes due to the 50% discounts at Avenue, yippeeee! haha So where's the rushing? Well, that colleague of mine had to catch her flight at 8 pm to Jakarta because her foster daddy passed away, but she didn't want to waste her discount so yeah, that's basically what happened when we finished our work at around 3, and started moving to the mall with traffic jam on our left and right. She had to be on the airport at 6 something, but until 5 something, we're still on the mall and we're running to the parking lot. She needed to drive back to her aunt's house to take some things to be brought to Jakarta and drive to the train station! Panic mode : on! Rush, rush!
*Phew
Thankfully, she managed to arrive in time for the flight. *relieved
So, that's the story about my last day of February. I might sound a bit exaggerating, but i did feel panic at that time. haha
Anyway, this month I might be quite busy due to the students' tests which will be in sequence for 3 weeks ahead. *already feel tired* but I'll try my best to keep updating my blog. *cross fingers*
See you around :)

祝你新年快乐! 恭喜发财! 万事如意!身体健康!天天有鱼!
At the end of the day, I got to realize that "Chinese New Year is not entirely about the red pockets, but it's about the togetherness that we get to share with the people around us, especially those whom we love." :)
Happee Chinese New Year again, everyone!!!!
And here's pic of the day, I bet this is what our feelings are like for these several days wkwkwk
祝你充满幸福、健康、幸运、祝福、成功的羊年!
Hi, everybody!
Happee Lunar New Year! \(^o^)/
Gong Xi Gong Xi!
Wish all of you a great year ahead full of luck, happiness, prosperity and health!! :D
It's the third day of Lunar Calender, and I have been so busy going here and there to visit relatives, colleagues and friends' families. Soooo tiring, but it was so much fun though. :DD
I really like holidays like Chinese New Year when all the relatives get to meet up once in a year, exchange greetings, and have some chit-chat talking about whatever happened to us for the recent year.
For me, visiting relatives for Chinese New Year was usually done on the first day. Mostly, people would come to visit us afterwards. But, this year is quite different for me, I got a chance to go to others' houses, prepared things for the visit (as the tradition says, "never come to others's houses empty-handed"), and learned how to chit chat a lil bit with the parents. XD
Ah! Remember my gang, G-8? Haha When we're having breakfast together at Pizza Hut this morning, we somehow unexpectedly decided to visit each member's house. This is something that we didn't use to do, haha. So we visited six houses today, and harvest some RED POCKETS at the same time. wkwkwkwkwk
Breakfast gathering at Pizza Hut :D
First stop: Daniel's house
Second stop: Diana's house
Third stop: Putra's house
Fourth stop: Erick's house
Fifth stop: My house :D
Last stop: Winda's house
At the end of the day, I got to realize that "Chinese New Year is not entirely about the red pockets, but it's about the togetherness that we get to share with the people around us, especially those whom we love." :)
Happee Chinese New Year again, everyone!!!!

I know I'm too late, but anyway I wish all of you Happee Belated Valentine's Day! XD
It's Chinese New Year's Eve tomorrow, and I can't wait to celebrate it soon. Going to be busy tomorrow helping Mom do the cleaning, but I'm sure I'll have a lot of fun. :)
By the way, how was your Valentine's Day?
I got to see some sweetness and also some bitterness.
To put in contrast, two of my students who happened to have the same fate, chasing the girl that they had ever chased before, apparently got the totally opposite response right on the past Valentine's Day. One is super positive, showing his bright smiles wherever and whenever she's around; while the other one appeared to be super gloomy today. I feel good and bad at the same time. I support both of them, but it's sad to see one of my favorite students looks so devastated.
Well, falling in love means getting ready for all the happiness, the butterflies in stomach, the sweetness, but it also means getting ready for the risk, the sadness, the broken heart, the bitterness. Some might get to embrace the love they desire, some mightn't even have a chance to make a move. There might also be times when it is hard to accept the reality that your love is unrequited. Cause no matter what, love takes two.
So, did you prepare anything for your loved ones?
I did. I bought some chocolate bars for each member of my family, tied them up and gave those to them. :D
Did I get anything in return? Not really. But unexpectedly, I got a box of macarons from a friend. Lucky me! :D
Lastly, Happee Valentine's Day for all the doubles, and Happee Single the 14th for all the singles! Cheers! :D

Hello, lovelies!
Have you been preparing for the Valentine's Day?
It's 11th and love is already in the air!!
Most of the people around me (aka my students) are busy preparing themselves for the special day. (*NOTE: the GUYS)
They have been busy looking for affordable roses, booking the roses, ordering chocolates, and on top of all, getting ready for the day.
They have been asking us what kind of gifts they should give the girls they like, should it be chocolate, or roses, or maybe something else? Well, our answers are "NO, chocolate or roses are too mainstream! It's like you don't even put any effort in thinking what she would like."

So, here's a hint for any of you who are also looking for something special for HER.
- It is the sweet little things that works. -
As long as you put your effort in it, it will work.
Even when it is sooooo simple, like making the chocolate by yourself, writing simple love letters, or maybe cook her favourite dish? Or maybe, if you really want to give her roses, then why don't you give her the seed of the rose and let her take care of it? (This idea actually belong to my colleague! which i really like haha) Again, it is your effort that makes it all worth. It is your effort that make whatever it is becomes sweet.
Just a simple tips for whoever you are, who are currently having butterflies in your stomach, who are smiling by yourself, who are in the air with all the love around. Haha. I 'd better stop here before I get too poetic. XD
Wish you the best luck!
Happee Valentine's Day! <3
And hope to see you again with the brightest smile! :)
Much love,
xoxo

Hello, hello!
Very long time no see!
Have been super busy these past few weeks preparing for the students' exam preparations, looking for new teachers, resting myself, and finally had some time to do some blogging. So, I'm going to give you a very quick review of what you have been missing these past few weeks.
- 29th November 2014
Had my graduation in the hall of our college. Wake up at 5 in the morning to catch up with the make up together with Diana, but we ended up finishing late. So when we're on the way there at around 8 something, the ceremony had started and I had to be there at 9 to accept my certificate and deliver my speech. So, panic on the way, non stop exhaling and inhaling to calm myself, and brother raced as fast as he could. Fortunately, we arrived there right about 15 minutes before my turn. Super relieved.
At least, we could make it in time. (Oh, I had to deliver the speech because i was granted as the student with the highest GPA in my major for this year. *blushing* *not expecting it at all* *because i know there are a lot more students who know Mandarin far better than me* *I'm just so lucky*)
So, here's the pictures.

(The teddy bear dolls were actually a surprise for me, my brother had promised me before that he would buy me the dolls for my graduation, but several days before the D-day, he told me that they were too expensive for him that he better gave me some money in ang pao as the graduation gift. I told him I wanted the dolls instead of money, since money is so meaningless if you give it as a gift, and he kept saying that he didn't have enough money and bla bla bla, so I didn't hope for it anymore. Until the D-day, my mom suddenly showed up with a big box and smiled to me. She said, "Here, this is what you want. Your brother has bought them for you and he hid it well. He has even bought the dolls before he told you that they were too expensive for him. He was just teasing you. See, how much your brother loves you."
I was touched to know that there are a lot of loving people around me. Thank You for my big brother for waking up very early in the morning just to send me to the make up artist's home, waited me there and raced all the way to the hall just so that i could make it in time. Thank You for my second brother for giving me the teddy bears. I know it's not easy for you to take them in home on your motorbike, but you still did it anyway. Thank You for my mom who has been expecting to see me deliver my speech but couldn't make it on time to see because we're all late, and for being more enthusiastic about the graduation than me. Thank You for my dad who has spared some of his busy time to come for a while and take picture with us, and to tell everyone that "Hey, that girl who gets the highest GPA is my daughter!" Thank You for my brother's girlfriend, who accompanied my mom for the whole ceremony. Thank You for the make up artist for make-uping us, and refused to accept our money. Thank You to Winda and Daniel for being such good friends to come and become our personal photographers. Haha. and Thank You everyone, each one of you, each one of my friends who had passed these four years together with me. Happy Graduation and wish each of us luck and success!
-Beginning of December 2014
Busy preparing questions, typing, looking for resources, and catching up materials with the students.
-11th December 2014
Stayed home because of high fever. It made me sweat all the night, and I had to change my clothes for around 4-5 times the whole night.
-12th December 2014
Thought I was better and got ready to work. Arrived work and felt nauseous. Still trying to hold until afternoon, I asked to go home earlier because the nauseous feeling was getting worse after lunch.
-13th December 2014
Feeling a lot better, and went back to work.
-14th December 2014
The fever came back at night and it made me sweat again for the whole night.
-15th December 2014
Went to see a doctor and doctor asked to have my blood checked. He suspected that it could be dengue fever. Blood test came up after two hours and doctor informed me that I was fine. It could be because of dehidration.
16th December 2014-19th December 2014
Helped the students prepare for their semester exam, got home, finished dinner, and rested right away.
20th December 2014-present day
Have been having holiday :) No work, total resting day, getting a lot better. and can't wait for Christmas to come :D
*22th December 2014
Mother's Day! Spending the whole day with Mom, shopping groceries, eating KFC! Splendid day to spend the special day with my mom. Although we didn't prepare anything for my mom, I think togetherness is also a sweet gift. Happee Mother's Day to my SUPERMOM! A mom who can do simply everything! And Happee Mother's Day to all mothers in the world! You guys are AWESOME! :D:D
Hellooo!
Have you watched Interstellar?
If yes, what do you think about it? If no, why not?
I watched it several days ago and truth to be told, at first I wasn't really interested in it. The posters are all showing an astronaut standing on a moon or whatever planet it is. So, an 85% percent NO!
It all started when my brother watched it first and he told me this : "You know, only smart people will be able to watch and understand it, although yeah, the movie was nice, but really, only SMART people will understand." So I simply answered him: "So do you understand?" He answered:"I understand, but it needs a lot of thinking." At that moment, I felt CHALLENGED. If he can understand it, why can't I? *devil* He's not some genius or what, I mean, at least our knowledge is still in the same level. I'm sure I'll be able to understand it, or won't I? I will, right? I started to doubt myself. Haha. These thoughts kept lingering in my mind for the next several days. Until a friend of mine, Daniel, who is a very BIG fan of Christopher Nolan's work (note: VERY BIG! He watched almost all of his movies! And it literally means ALL!) told me that he enjoyed the movie very much. It was ingenious, according to him. It wasn't necessary for me to ask him whether he understands it or not because i know clearly that he does. (He's a smart ass! note: SUPER SMART, he's like a walking encyclopedia!) He said that if I know what a wormhole, a black hole, dimension etc mean, then I will find the movie interesting. So again, I was CHALLENGED!!!
It tells the story of a group of scientists/astronauts on their way to look for a new planet in the other galaxy for humans to live as earth is deteriorating. They went through wormhole, black hole, time relativity, and even headed to 5D dimension. There are tragedy, drama, science, imagination all packed into one. I should say that this is another masterpiece of Christopher Nolan. Until now, I'm still wondering his way of thinking. How could he be so genious??? He could develop a very simple story into a super complicated maze. After Inception, and now this.
This three-hour movie is indeed very heavy, it needs a lot of deep thinking, it felt like I had to keep thinking so that I could keep up with the pace of the plot. When I stepped out from the cinema, my head felt so hot, haha, it had worked so hard. We (My brother, my colleague, Daniel and I) kept discussing about the movie, about why it happened that way, or this way. Through the long discussion, I realized that there's still some small parts that I don't understand completely. Ah, how i wish i was a little smarter. Haha.
If you're ready to think hard, then this will be a very good movie for you. If you're looking for a happy, fresh and light movie, this movie is a big no no!
Hi, there!
It's has been a nostalgic week for me, and it all started with the recent hype all over the nation's social media -- Ada Apa dengan Cinta (LINE) (2014) mini drama!!!
Have you watched it? If not, then you should go to www.youtube.com and you'll find it right on the very first page! (ooops, this is for Indonesia area only.)
The mini drama threw me back to my childhood-going-to-teenagehood moments. I still remembered when i first watched the original movie produced 12 years ago. I used to get all excited talking about the movie with my friends during those times and in fact, I still now. Haha. I first found out about this mini drama from the actors' instagram account where they posted pictures of the cast reunions in Seoul, South Korea!! And of course, it intrigued me right at that moment!
And have you ever watched the original Ada Apa dengan Cinta (2002)? If yes, then let's recall together. If no, I'm sorry, spoiler alert!!!!!
Well, if yes, then you'll remember how the movie ends with Cinta sending Rangga away to New York. I couldn't say that the movie wasn't good because of the not so happy ending (i'm a total happy ending mania, not so interested with sad ending movies), it was still very good indeed, and i ended up liking it so much. Soooo, this mini drama kinds of giving us the ending that has been long awaited (by me, especially!)
Can't figure out what I mean? Well, you should really watch the video by yourself. I really don't want to be a spoiler for the second time. And, I really hope that you will be smiling ear to ear when it reaches the end of the video. Like me, of course! Dian Sastro and friends look so mature in this movie and made me like it even more. Even Rangga (Nicholas Saputra) looks so neat, an exact reversal of his messy hair back then, yet he's still as serious as before. Although it is obviously made as an advertisement, but I really want to thank LINE for producing the happy ending. :) :)
After watching and putting a big grin on my own face, I felt that it's not complete without watching the original version again. So I ended up watching it, and another old Indonesian movie that I adore in my teenagehood -- Eiffel, I'm in Love!!!!
I read the novel first before it was made into movie, and I loved it even more when they produced the movie! These two movies really took part in making me realize that guys who are Darcy-like are super attractive, and in getting me to understand what romance means, and in making me start to have all the imagination of meeting the love of my life, the one who cares about me, for no matter who I am, simply like Rangga and Adit. :)
The next stop on today's movie-marathon is "The Wedding Date".
I didn't know it was an old movie before I searched it just now. Nevermind, it doesn't matter whether it's old or not.
Well, this movie is another typical of romantic comedy movie. It tells the story of Kat who hires a male-escort to pose as her boyfriend at her sister's wedding in order to make her ex-fiancé jealous. It all started as something fun, until it comes to love.
The movie is okay for me. It gave me some good laugh after watching the more serious "Time-Traveler's Wife". :)

Hello!
Staying home this weekend due to the allergic and spending the me-time with movie-marathoning!
Here's the first stop.
Staying home this weekend due to the allergic and spending the me-time with movie-marathoning!
Here's the first stop.
"The Time-Traveler's Wife" (2009)
It tells the story of Henry Detrample (Eric Bana) as a librarian/time-traveler. He travels back and forth in time without being able to control himself. He can travel at anytime and anywhere. His life seems miserable until he met Clare Abshire (Rachel McAdams) one day. Clare recognized him as the time-traveler from the future who has come to meet her several times since she was six years old, although Henry himself has totally no idea about it. Then the story goes on.
This movie revolves around their love story, how the time-travelling (the genetic anomaly, according to Henry and his doctor, Dr. Kendrick) affects their lives, how they still love each other despite the odds, and how they still trust each other with all the crazy things happening around them.
Just like Rachel McAdams said in the interview, "Time traveling is...confusing", but I could ensure you that this movie won't puzzled you at all. The story is presented splendidly well, I didn't get confused at all. In fact, I was so immersed in the story. The story line is so unique, unpredictable and it's not boring at all. The director directed it well, the scriptwriter wrote the script superbly, and the casts played their characters gorgeously. Oh, one more thing! I even liked the settings in this movie: the meadow, their color details, even the snow!
Well, once again, I presented you another masterpiece! Totally recommended!
p.s: This is based on my personal preference, different opinions may apply. :)
