I'm sure you've heard the news about the haze currently happening in Indonesia.
This might enlighten you, if you haven't got any news about it.

Indonesia's fires labelled a 'crime against humanity' as 500,000 suffer

The haze has been going on for months in several parts of Indonesia. Sumatra, Kalimantan and Papua all suffer from the raging forest fires at the same time. As the result, the haze the fires cause has reached almost every part of each island, including us here in Medan.

Most of the residents in Medan also suffer from bad cough and breathing problems. Students are asked to stay at home, and even enclosed places are no exception to the haze. In Medan, the haze has been going on for weeks, entering months now.





Our condition here is far better than those in Riau, Palangkaraya, Jambi and some other cities located near the burning forests. Schools have been closed for months, residents have been evacuating to safer places, and people have been suffering from acute respiratory infections. And again, it has been going on for months.

The latest news that I got is that the haze is crawling its way to Jakarta.

Thankfully, though, the sky in Medan today is much clearer that the previous week after pouring rain for four nights in a row.

I myself think that this is not the time to blame anyone, but to find the best and the fastest solution to end this suffering.
