A Night Spent at JW Marriott Medan.

By Lasmarya Hadi Purwanto - October 09, 2015

Told you there's something more to the story behind Yudhi and Yessi's wedding, so for you who has been so patient waiting for the rest of the story, here it goes :)
Truth is, we did have a lot of preparation for their wedding, but apart from that, there's a big plan for a sleepover. Yes, a sleepover. Nope, not in any of our members' houses, it's in JW Marriott Hotel Medan.

Guess your first reaction would be, "What? Why should you spend a night in a hotel when you have your own home in the same town? It's not like you're travelling out of town or something! What a waste of money!" Well, yes, that's the most frequent reaction that came out each time I mentioned about the plan.

I'm pretty sure at first, this idea came out simply as a silly idea, not to be taken seriously, (well, why spend money staying in a hotel when you can just stay at your own home without paying a  penny?) but as the wedding came closer, this idea somehow was taken under serious consideration. Haha.
There were some reasons why we finally proceeded with the plan; first, it's easier for us to go to the wedding reception together from the hotel; second, it's been a long while since we last gathered and this could be a very good chance; third, because we're young, we're wild, and we only live ONCE. XD

Is it expensive to spend a Saturday night in a five-star hotel? Sure, it is.
Does it worth it? Yes, it does. :)
(p.s: only if you are together with the right people!)
(p.s.s: because it's not about where you go, but it's with whom you go that really matters :))

As we're all stingy people, wkwk, we tried very hard to get the most of every single penny we spent. We indulged ourselves in any facilities provided for the hotel guests, such as swimming pool, the gym, the hot tub, the sauna room, simply everything.

And of course, taking lots of commemoration photos is a big MUST! :DD

(The photo that cracks me up each time I see it XD)
(Will be deleted soon if there's any complaint from the models)

And..............
the birthday surprise for Ms. Karina Agustin! :DD
While everyone was busy taking pictures, +Winda Chai and I made some excuses to go back to our room and prepare the cake for her. Unfortunately, our floor is non-smoking area, and none of us brings a lighter to light the candle. We're quite panic at that moment, because this would be the first time we brought a cake without ignited candles. It felt like something's missing. Anyway, we couldn't find anything that could help us solve the problem, so we decided to just take the cake as it was. It's better than nothing at all, rite? And I think, what really matters is the thought. :)
We took the cake to the other room, sang the birthday song for her, and she was really surprised! Yeaaaaay! I bet you will too, if your birthday was months away, and you suddenly get a birthday surprise. Haha
Her birthday is actually on 18th August, but due to her internship, she was out of town for several months and we couldn't celebrate her birthday. So when she suddenly informed us that she's coming back home for that weekend, and that she's joining us for the sleepover, we're so ecstatic!! Woohooo We planned the birthday surprise right away. We know it's several months late but, it's better late than never, rite? :)

Wish you a blissful birthday, Karina. :)
