Here's the first stop.
"The Time-Traveler's Wife" (2009)
It tells the story of Henry Detrample (Eric Bana) as a librarian/time-traveler. He travels back and forth in time without being able to control himself. He can travel at anytime and anywhere. His life seems miserable until he met Clare Abshire (Rachel McAdams) one day. Clare recognized him as the time-traveler from the future who has come to meet her several times since she was six years old, although Henry himself has totally no idea about it. Then the story goes on.
This movie revolves around their love story, how the time-travelling (the genetic anomaly, according to Henry and his doctor, Dr. Kendrick) affects their lives, how they still love each other despite the odds, and how they still trust each other with all the crazy things happening around them.
Just like Rachel McAdams said in the interview, "Time traveling is...confusing", but I could ensure you that this movie won't puzzled you at all. The story is presented splendidly well, I didn't get confused at all. In fact, I was so immersed in the story. The story line is so unique, unpredictable and it's not boring at all. The director directed it well, the scriptwriter wrote the script superbly, and the casts played their characters gorgeously. Oh, one more thing! I even liked the settings in this movie: the meadow, their color details, even the snow!
Well, once again, I presented you another masterpiece! Totally recommended!
p.s: This is based on my personal preference, different opinions may apply. :)
Weekend in the Dreamy Little French Village (Colmar Tropicale) Day II
By Lasmarya Hadi Purwanto - October 25, 2014
Hi, there!
I'm back with the Day II story.
I'm truly sorry for the very late post as I've been quite busy with my work recently. :)
So, here the Day II.
We slept at around 2 a.m, but we decided to set the alarm to 7 a.m as we didn't want to miss the breakfast served by the hotel. BUT! Although each one of us had set the alarm, none of us really woke up at 7, buahahaha, the alarm did ring though, but we simply turned it off and went back to sleep. haha, so at the end, we all woke up at 8 something in the morning. Taking bath and getting dressed took almost one hour because we had to queue, since there's only one bathroom for four people, and we went down to the restaurant at around 9 something. Almost late, because the breakfast time ended at 10 a.m.
We didn't take any pictures of the breakfast, yet i can guarantee you that the breakfast was soooo yummy! There're lots of choices from Western style breakfast like the cereal, milk, bacon, baked bean, omelette, French toast to Asian cuisine like porridge, nasi lemak, kwetiaw and so on. But the best from all for me is definitely the French pastries. Oh my god! They're so damn delicious! The croissant, the lemon meringue danish, aarrghh I'm salivating again!
Our plan for the day was to visit the Japanese Botanical Garden. So after we finished our breakfast, we played around in the bedroom while waited for the next shuttle bus trip at 10.45.
Doing nothing, we took another pictures..wkwkwk..Narsistic never dies.
Playing around with the birthday balloons XD
It's raining again on the second day. We first planned to let go all of the balloons to the sky, but since it's raining and the balloons were lacking of helium after a night, we decided to give out all the balloons to the kids there.
The last cuisine to end the trip. Filled up our tummy in Nanny Pavillon in the airport. This place has an unique decorations, unique menu and definitely yummy food. Recommended. :)
Got ourselves four cups of ice cream because we liked their facebook account :)

The birthday girl was letting go of the very last balloon to the sky amidst the rain.
One last picture together before we headed directly to KLIA2 :D

Hereby, we ended our two days weekend trip in the dreamy little French resort. Until now, it still feels like a dream for me that i have ever spent my weekend there. Maybe because it's too short, or maybe because it all just seemed to good to be true.
Overall, I really enjoy this weekend trip. With these people, it felt as if I've found another family out there who takes care of me like sisters, who sees togetherness as something fun, and who keeps telling me that we only live once, so why bother?
Once again, this is a beautiful place for you to spend your weekend. Tell your friends, grab some time to look for tickets, go there and enjoy your dream. I bet you'll like it the way we do. :)
Fin.
Weekend in The DREAMY LITTLE FRENCH VILLAGE (COLMAR TROPICALE)! :D Part III
By Lasmarya Hadi Purwanto - October 19, 2014
Sssttt..
Remember in the last post, I mentioned that we're taking lots of pictures at night because we're trying to stall the time?
Well, we're preparing for something.
During the night, most of us were actually tired, because the night before we only slept for around 4 hours to catch the early flight. So, basically our energy was depleted. But we couldn't go to sleep. Not yet. We had to wait till 12 a.m. Start to guess what i'll probably say next?
No, we're not waiting for any fireworks. Yes, (if you guess this right), we're preparing a birthday surprise for the one and only Juniar Lim! We went there on 11th October and her birthday was on 12th October. Before the day came, the rest of us had been thinking again and again of how to set the surprise for her, since we're not in our hometown, and the resort is far from anywhere. So even if we planned to buy a cake or birthday present for her in Berjaya Times Square, she would find out! We're actually freaking out at first when we thought we might not be able to prepare anything for her birthday surprise, but the only guy in our group gave us a very good idea right a day before we went there, which is on 10th October.
He said he had called the management of the Colmar Tropicale resort, and asked them to help us decor a room for the surprise, and fortunately the management agreed to do that. Thank God! He said they're expert in decorating a room for the newly weds and birthday surprises, so we can really trust them. And they promised that they would finish the decoration precisely at 12 a.m.
So, what should we do to stay awake till 12 a.m? Taking pictures of course. No one would like to stay in a beautiful hotel just to watch TV or sleep in the room, right? We took pictures to the maximum limit so that we could kill time too.
When it reached 12 a.m, we felt relieved, thinking that it must have finished, but when Vincent called the manager to confirm, they said they needed more time. Ouch! We're tired, but we kept forcing ourselves to take pictures, walking around the resort complex for I don't know how many times. It's getting late, and they even had turned off most of the street lights, there were only some security guards walking around, and most of the tourists had gone to their own rooms. But we could do nothing. Fog came by and went away, and we're still waiting and waiting.
Until it's almost 1 a.m., the call came and told us that the room was ready. We may proceed. Then, the plan started. The room was in another building, and we had to take her there. The problem was we didn't know how. It seems like if we simply said that we're going to walk around the other buildings, see the inside part and bla bla bla, she would find out! So they made a plan, Christin and Vincent would play rock, paper, scissors game and the loser should knock on some of the hotel rooms' door. They would knock on some other rooms first, and at the end, they would knock on the surprise room and get inside.
Everything went as the plan. Besides them, the rest of us pretended that the game they were playing was non-sense. We kept saying "You guys are crazy! It's midnight and you guys can't just knock on anybody's room! It's so rude!" and so on. And the birthday girl seemed so shock looking at them doing that. The room was on the second floor of the basement, and there were only two rooms down there, and none of them were occupied. They did knock on the other room first, but of course nobody came out, since it's empty, and when they tried to knock on THE ROOM, we all pretended to run away as though we're really afraid that someone might open the door. But again, nothing happened. So the two crazy friends went on, and opened the door (Vincent had the key from the manager). The birthday girl was even more shocked when she saw the door opened. So Desy lied to her, and said that the door was not locked. We went inside and got into the living room + kitchen. The room was bigger than ours. It has a big kitchen + living room, a bathroom and a bedroom. Some of us pretended to be afraid, and said that we had to get out as soon as possible, at this moment the birthday girl's expression was super pale, but the crazy two wouldn't stop exploring the room and they daringly opened the bedroom door.
We could hardly see what's inside the bedroom from the outside as the room's lighting was quite dim. We all looked inside to check, and so that the birthday girl would do the same too. When she saw what's waiting for her inside, she turned back and hid her face with her two hands. We laughed and sang the birthday song for her.
The decoration was so great! It did worth the time we stalled. The management did it well. Her name was decorated on the bed with origami roses, the cake (it was Baskin Robin's ice cream cake and it was super duper delicious!) with the wont-died-out candles, the balloons, and the hanging changing colors and heart-shaped LED lights on the wall! We're so glad that it turned out this well.
(The surprise room!)
(The surprised and touched birthday girl who tried to hid her face haha)
The birthday girl :)
Happee birthday again dear Juniar Lim! :D
the person who shows her care to me like a sister.
Wish you great years ahead.
Wish your success with Boniface!
Wish you find someone special soon XD
And many other wishes :)
May this birthday have an everlasting impression ;)
Weekend in the Dreamy Little French Village (Colmar Tropicale)! :D part II
By Lasmarya Hadi Purwanto - October 19, 2014
Hello again!
It's time to continue the previous post about my weekend escape to a dreamy little French village in Berjaya Hills Bukit Tinggi, KL--Colmar Tropicale! :D
-Finished taking pictures, and decided to swim a lil bit with the dusk view of the building we're staying in. :)
-After swimming for 15 minutes, headed off to the Italian restaurant in the resort area. Ordered a pan of pizza, and three pastas for 7 people. (Honestly, we're not full, the prices were not really friendly to our pocket, and the taste didn't really worth the price.) So we went back to our hotel room, and finished off all the sushis we bought before and got really full. :d:d
- Finished dinner and snacks, we went out again to enjoy the night view of this French village. :)
-While we're strolling, we met Hall of Fame, a Filipino accoustic vocal group. They thought we're Korean, so they sang Nobody by Wonder Girls and Gangnam Style for us and invited us to dance along with them. Their voices are wonderful and they're extremely friendly. It was so much fun!!! :D:D We've got the dancing video here, but it can't be uploaded here, the notification stated that the size is too big. Too bad.
(Our James Bond and his Bond girl as the main dancers with Hall of Fame) XD
- Having so much fun with night view and with less people around, we walked out of the resort to the Chateau to take more pictures. haha. We just can't get enough!
Well, we're actually trying to stall the time to prepare for something, and we didn't know what to do, that's why we're taking more and more pictures. Emm, what is exactly that "something"? Stay tune. I'll reveal that "something" in the next post. See you again!
To be continued again.. :D

Day I. (Part I)
Arrived in the airport early in the morning (note: 5 a.m.) to check in and wait for our flight.
(Took a wefie before we entered the gate)
-Arrived in KLIA2
-After waited for around 30 minutes for the bus in the airport, rode on bus to Berjaya Times Square for almost 2 hours, and bought some bus tickets to head to Colmar Tropicale, here we were in Nando's, enjoying a whole chicken :d
-Filled our stomachs, stopped by the Sushi Empire and Krispy Kreme for snacking en route.
(Got so addicted to the sushi! It's so addictive and cost-friendly!)
-Rode on the bus to the resort for almost another two hours, and arrived there at almost 3 p.m. Sadly, right when we arrived, it started to rain heavily T,T, so we got no choice but to stay in the hotel room and waited for the rain to stop. While doing nothing, we took some pictures. (note: not some, but a lot!!!) haha, so here're some teasers.
(The view from our room and the rain)
(We booked two family suites, and they're so comfortableeee :D)
(Each family suite consists of two king size beds, divided into two rooms and one bathroom)
(Above is one of the room)
(The other room)
(Doing crazy poses while waiting for the rain XD)
-Right when the rain stopped, we prepared ourselves (sstt..it means getting dressed) and stepped out of our room.
(Finally, the long awaited Colmar Tropicale! <3)
(The Chateau right in front of Colmar Tropicale Resort)
The inside view!
Look at the details of the buildings! It simply AWE...SOME!
Although we're not exactly in Europe, but somehow the surroundings are giving us the feeling that we are! It's so Europe! You've got to go there, be there and experience it by yourself!
To be continued......
